Nicholas Andrew Paull attained God’s Everlasting Peace on October 1, 2022 at his home in Hot Springs
Village, Arkansas. Nicholas was 32 years old.
Nicholas’ life was short, but to those who were Blessed to be touched by him understand that his
existence and the imprint he left on hearts exceed the quantity of his time on Earth.
Nicholas was born October 1, 1990 in Chicago, IL. During his childhood, Nicholas developed an avid
enthusiasm for cars & trucks, art, skate boarding, and music. His mother took him and his brother, Alex,
to Barnes & Noble almost weekly to foster self-discovery. It was here that Nicholas’ love for cars &
trucks, as well as Calvin and Hobbs storybooks, was unveiled. His love of art did not stop with his
drawings, but carried over numerous times in “doodle fashion” on the homework assignments he
submitted, much to the surprise and glee of his teachers. His love of skateboarding knew no bounds.
Hours upon hours, day in and day out, Nicholas practiced his skateboarding abilities, aiming to be the
next Tony Hawk. His greatest accomplishments were skateboarding the Spanish Steps in Rome and
“conquering” Skatepark du Prado outside of Marseille, France, where Tony’s skateboarding video game
originated. His love of music included writing songs, background beats, and taking up the drums. His
band, Sleeping Creepers, played in local venues.
Nick’s later adolescent years were concentrated in political activism. He joined several collectives,
including Food Not Bombs, May Day, and various art groups, most of which whose purpose was to help
the ordinary man.
Nick’s enthusiasms and interests stayed with him throughout his life. He prided on owning a vintage
1986 Chevy Silverado truck, for which he received many offers, but would not sell. His artwork became
commercially graphic, worthy of launching his own poster/T-shirt enterprise, but instead, he opted for
the life of a street artist depending on the city he was in. His skateboarding endeavors were
unfortunately cut short due to an accident in 2020 that curtailed the proper use of his right leg. While
no longer a member of a band, he never stopped exploring his musical passion.
Nicholas led a most colorful life, walking to the beat of a different drum, more often than not, taking the
road less traveled. He settled down in Hot Springs Village the last eight years of his life, living with his
mother. He loved the peacefulness, neighborliness, and natural beauty the Village offered. He
discovered new enthusiasms such as cooking and grilling; becoming a hot sauce connoisseur, and
exploring his religious side.
He is survived by his mother, Denise Henderson Paull; father, David Paull; brother, Alexander Paull;
aunt, Julie Henderson; uncle, Brent Henderson, aunt-in-law, Dawn Henderson; and Esme, his canine
companion. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will take place at Cedar Vale Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on October 26, followed by a
Celebration of Life reception at Dolce Vita restaurant at 4:30.
