Albert B. Becker, Jr. passed away on January 16, 2024, accompanied by his wife Yvonne. Al was born May 14, 1932, in Providence, Rhode Island the oldest of two sons of Rachel and Albert Becker, Sr. Al is predeceased by his parents, his younger brother Jim and nephew James Becker of San Diego, CA. 


He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Yvonne (Folkerts), two sons Jeffrey of Fort Smith and John of Belleville, Illinois, daughter Janet (Fred) Geyer of Germantown, TN, two grandsons Chris (Lauren) Geyer and Phillip (Stafani) Geyer, granddaughter Allison (John) Dowlen, five great grandsons, two great granddaughters, and niece Barbara Buckner of San Diego.


Al enjoyed float fishing the streams of the Ozarks with his college friends from the St Louis area, camping and boating with family and friends at Table Rock Lake in Missouri and playing golf- especially once retired.


Al was a member of the Christ of the Hills UMC in Hot Springs Village where he served on the Board of Directors for several years. He was also a member and past president of the Village Breakfast Lions Club.


Al graduated in 1954 from Washington University St. Louis, MO, with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a registered professional engineer in Missouri and Arkansas, and a registered structural engineer in the state of Illinois. Al worked his entire professional career for the engineering firm of Horner & Shifrin, Inc. from which he retired in 1994. He and Yvonne moved from St. Louis to Hot Springs Village in 1995.


A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Guests may register at www.cedarvalefuneralhome.com
