Barbara Jean Davis

Barbara Jean (Munger) Davis, 90 years old, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Monday, 05/31/2021. She was born, December 10, 1930, at Lebanon, South Dakota to Lee Austin Munger and Jessie Mary (Westwood) Munger. She was a wife, mother, account clerk, sales manager and interior decorator. She was a member of the Hot Springs Village Players; the HSV Women's Golf Social and Nine Hole league; taught line dancing; member of the HSV knitting club; enjoyed gardening; was an excellent cook and enjoyed dining and entertaining. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Leo Edward Davis; two children, Denise Lee (Davis) Andrews, Robert Wayne Davis and two grandchildren Jason N. Davis and Julie M. (Davis) Alexander.She believed in doing the best that her ability allowed and to be honest with herself and others. She was accepted and loved for who she was. She lived by the creed that you must learn to love yourself before you can love another and be happy. She had a good sense of humor and could see the humor in difficult situations. She was a concerned and giving person and gave others the benefit of any doubts. Words that best describe her are honest, punctual, loving, devoted, a good listener and a caring partner in all things. She was a happy person and loved family and friends.Memorial gathering will be at CedarVale Funeral Home, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 2:00pm with internment following at CedarVale Cemetery. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society; Flowers will be donated, after service, to Good Samaritan Society of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
