Bobbie Dean Henry passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home. Bobbie was born
December 14, 1950 to the late Harold and JoAnn Henry in Houston, TX. A great life has ended but his
legacy endures. He was generous, understanding and forgiving. His greatest virtue was the capacity to
love. He opened his heart and he provided a safe haven for his family, friends and his community.
Bobbie joined the Marines after graduating from high school in 1969. His valor in the service as a
Vietnam veteran awarded him many medals including The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam
Service Medal with 1 Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with
Palm, Combat Action Ribbon, Rifle Markmanship Badge and Good Conduct.
After his military service, Bobbie owned and operated Brave Transportation Company until its
dissolution. He then became the distribution manager for Wonderbread and Coca-Cola Company until
his retirement.
Bobbie enjoyed many hobbies which included golf, golf and more golf. He enjoyed riding his Harley and
outdoor adventures. He loved to travel to learn different cultures. As a matter of fact he and Kary were
planning many trips upon his death.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and JoAnn Henry. He is survived by his wife of 33
years, Kary and his faithful furry pet, Harley. Also surviving are his sister Donna (Nick), brother Duane
(Anita), sons Shannon (Becky), Kevin (Tracy), Brian (Amy), Tee (Brandi) and Adam whom he loved and claimed
as his own. He leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bobbies memorial service will be held at Village Church of Christ on Saturday, March 18 at 11:00. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests donations be made to:

Bobbie was a defender of our flag and had a deep love for the Marine Corp and his country. He had a
passion for life and most importantly, his family and faith. He inspired and encouraged so many people
to be honest, sincere, courageous and true. He lived his life with unquestionable integrity and with love
and kindness for all who knew him.
