It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Mason Borton, 73, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Bruce Mason Borton, devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024 after a short but vigorous battle with cancer. With his passing, we find solace in the outpouring of love from his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Heidi; cherished children Nicholas Borton and Cassandra McGaughey and bonus-daughter Kelsea Downing; his adored grandchildren Matt, Alex, RJ, Isaiah, Manuel, Eva, Miguel and Laila; and his four legged companions Oreo, Ranger and Sugar Pie.
Bruce was a retired Navy veteran who was stationed in Guam at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in the early 70’s. He was an unyielding advocate for individuals and families affected by Agent Orange. He was also an active Rotarian with a passion for serving his community.
Bruce was loved fiercely by those who knew him. His passion for being in nature, helping others and his witty humor were just a few of his unique trademarks. Bruce would want those who knew him to celebrate and honor his life with a toast and a soulful hearty, “Cheers”. In lieu of a service or flowers, a donation to the Cedar Mountain Boys and Girls Club would honor his memory. https://www.scbgclub.com/cedar-mountain-club
