Curt A. Hetrick, beloved husband, father, family man, wood worker, accomplished musician, artist and machinist, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. He had only 48 years of life.
Curt was a true renaissance man - able to play several instruments, draw from sight, and build just about anything. He loved to play guitar, fish, read, build with his hands, paint and sketch, and always worked extremely hard to support his family. It was his sons, Trey and Benjamin, his wife, Desirae and the life they built together that Curt was most proud of. Curt and Desirae had 23 beautiful years of friendship, 18 amazing years of love and family, and 12 glorious years of marriage. They married in 2009 and never stopped building on their strong foundation of friendship and love. "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."
Curt rarely missed an opportunity to tell whoever would listen (sometimes even confiding in his mother-in-love) how very much he loved his wife and children and just how proud of them he was. They can hardly imagine their world without him.
Curt will be missed most by his soulmate, Desirae; sons Trey and Benjamin Hetrick; siblings Jim Caldwell, Chad Caldwell, Jody LaBuff, and Caleb Hensley; mother-in-love, Debbie Rutledge Jones; Grandfather to his sons, Bruce Angel and a lifetime of good friends. He was predeceased by his best friend and Father James Hetrick.
A Celebration of Curt’s Life will be announced after the holidays.
In lieu of flowers, please remember Curt’s young family.
