Dana Jo Peick

Dana Jo (Comer) Peick of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, died January 1, 2024, at age 76.

She was born July 1, 1947, to Donald Milton Comer and Elizabeth Joyce (Walters) Comer in

Independence, Kansas, and was the oldest of four children.

Dana attended the University of Kansas from 1965 to 1969.

She married Dennis Lee Peick at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood, Missouri, on May 7,

1973, and they had one daughter, Erin Leigh Peick, born July 28, 1976.

Dana had a rewarding career, beginning as a graphic designer for Concordia Publishing House in

St. Louis, Missouri, and moving to medical publishing as a project manager with Mosby

Publishing (later Elsevier, Inc.), also in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1999 she started her own

successful company, GraphCom Corporation, in St. Louis, and served as a Publishing Services

Director for many years. She was an innovator and mentor for her colleagues and a strong

advocate for women in the workforce. After retiring from the publishing industry, Dana

continued to serve others by contributing her time and editorial and graphic design expertise to

numerous charitable causes.

Dana was an avid golfer and moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, in 1998 to enjoy her later

years and play golf when she could. She had many close friends “in the Village” who supported

her and became a second family.

Dana is survived by Erin Leigh Peick (daughter), Anna Jo Peick (grandchild), Donald Milton

Comer (brother), Kenton Ray Comer (brother), Kim Denise Comer-Ross (sister), Nick Eugenio

(son-in-law), Shirley Comer (sister-in-law), Brett Ross (brother-in-law), many friends, and her
