Dianne Marie Dehart

Dianne Marie Dehart, 88, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 10, 1936, Dianne married her high school sweetheart, Herbert Leone Dehart, on December 21, 1957, after they met at Benson High School in Omaha. Together they shared a beautiful 67-year marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family.

Throughout her life, Dianne embraced the constant movement of a family that traveled often for both work and pleasure—living in many different places across the country. No matter the destination, she was always on board with a smile on her face. Wherever she went, she brought along her sharp wit, bright spirit, and an incredible sense of humor that made even the most hectic moves feel like a new chapter in the family story.

Dianne dedicated herself to raising her three sons while also working part-time as a secretary for business executives. She brought grace, warmth, and humor to every role she held—whether at home, at work, or within her community.

Her greatest accomplishment was raising her sons and watching her grandchildren grow into adulthood. A lifelong tennis fan, Dianne loved playing the sport in her younger years and kept up with the sport throughout her life. Dianne was also a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, rarely missing a game or a chance to comment on a bad play.

In 1999, after Herb’s retirement, the two settled in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, where they found joy in the peacefulness of nature, strong friendships, and many shared memories.

Dianne was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Samuelson; her stepfather, Melvin Samuelson; and her brother, Donald Scherzberg.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Herbert Dehart; sons Douglas Dehart (Debra) of Houston, TX, Scott Dehart (Kip) of Shreveport, LA, and Peter Dehart of Osage Beach, MO; and grandchildren Ashley Dehart (Timothy Mokry) of Shreveport, LA; Daniel Dehart (Brianna) of Houston, TX; Anna Dehart of Houston, TX; and Courtney Yarbrough (Marc) of Belcher, LA. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Danica and Carley Dehart, and Bennett Yarbrough.

Dianne will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her humor that could light up a room, and her adventurous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, resilience, and devotion that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their support and kindness in the final days of her life.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 10, 2025 at CedarValeCemetery, 200 Minorca Road, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
