Donald L. Dunn

Donald L. Dunn, 87 of Hot Springs Village passed away peacefully of heart failure on June 4,
2022.

Born March 11, 1935, in White Cloud, Kansas to the late Earl and Anna (Pratz) Dunn, Don believed the education of all children was critical. He attained a Master of Education and was a devoted science teacher in the Burlington, Iowa School system for over 20 years.

After retirement, Don and his wife, Sandy, moved to Hot Spring Village. Don was able to enjoy more family time, lots of golf, rooting for the Kansas Jayhawks and drinking some good smoothies (Snowshoe Grog) - which he enjoyed most is up for debate.

Don is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Sandra Dunn; his son Ken (Beth) Dunn;
daughter, Machele Dunn MacDowell; grandchildren Lindsay (Justin) Ware, Amanda Dunn, Taylor
Dunn, Jack MacDowell; stepchildren Brian Gibson, Greg Gibson, Julie Decker, Steve (Chris) Gibson; sister,
Charlotte McManus; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings Velma Ryan, Lahmer Dunn and Virgil Dunn.

Per Don’s request family will not have any services but ask all who loved Don to enjoy a toast or
a round of golf in his honor and always remember “Rock Chalk Jayhawks”.
