Donnys Laureen Womack

Donnys Laureen Womack was called to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on March 17,

2024. She was born on December 3, 1933 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Abraham Lincoln (Toby)

Entz and Leona Bell Hoefer Entz.

She loved music and began singing in church at 4 years of age. Donnys accepted Jesus as her Savior as a child. After graduating from high school, she married and was a homemaker, raising three children. She taught piano in the home for 40 years, and directed choirs in the Methodist and Nazarene churches, and later after relocating to Shreveport, Louisiana was choral director at Calvary Baptist Academy for 12 years. She loved the church and never wanted to miss Sunday morning service or Bible class. She had a great passion for Bible study, and in the 70’s owned a Bible Book Store in Hot Springs.

She enjoyed playing Bridge with Balboa’s GGG, and Fridays were spent with her girlfriends having lunch

and playing Canasta. She enjoyed trips and outings with the singles’ group very much. She sang

with Balboa’s Celebration Choir for several years, served with the women’s ministry, and

volunteered along with Dennis every month at Balboa’s Outreach Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Clyde Warden (2000) and Rev. Robert G. Womack (2006); her brother Jim, and a son, Darrell.

Survivors include her son Dennis Warden (Cyndi), Hot Springs Village; daughter Julie King, (Ted), New Market, Alabama; five granddaughters, Jennifer Herbert (A.J.), Jessica Richardson (Richard), New Orleans, Louisiana; Jacqueline Lemoine (Todd), Abita Springs, Louisiana; Katelyn Tinney (Matthew), Cumming, Georgia; Kambrelyn King, New Market, Alabama; and one great-grandson, Gideon Tinney, Cumming, Georgia. Surviving siblings are her brothers Stewart Entz (Elinor), Topeka, Kansas; and Lin Entz (Pat), St. Charles, Illinois; and her sister Onie Cooper, Hutchinson, Kansas, as well as several nieces,

nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Society and Elite Hospice (Jacqueline and Sheila especially) for their excellent care of Donnys. In lieu of flowers, Donnys has requested that contributions be made to Balboa Baptist Church.

Her Celebration of Life service will be held at Balboa Baptist Church on April 20, 2024 at 2pm,

visitation prior to service at 1pm. Service will also be live-streamed at Balboa.live. Arrangements made under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home inside the Hot Springs Village. Guests may register at cedarvalefuneralhome.com
