Douglas Gary Forry, 77, married 55 years to Linda Joan D’Esposito died Sunday, June 26,
2022. Born in Hershey, PA, Doug grew up in Prospect Park, PA prior to moving to Waynesboro,
PA as a newlywed.
Doug graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in 1967. Doug worked
as a claims adjuster for PMA in PA. In 1978 Doug began working for Gallagher Bassett as an
office manager for Workman’s Comp division. He and his family also resided in Newark, DE and
St. Charles, IL. After raising his family Doug and Linda moved to Hot Springs Village, AR, where
they have resided since 1992. Doug was the son of the late Howard Forry Jr. (who was a
member of the 11th Armored Division and killed in WWII) and Clara Harman Helsel. He was
raised by Austin Eugene (Gene) Helsel.
Doug was a kind generous man who enjoyed fishing and golf. He played golf with 9 Hole group and the Wild bunch for several year and then joined a foursome that played twice a week. Survivors include his wife Linda, his two daughters Beth
Forry of Hot Springs Village, AR and Tracy Luckow (Jerry) of Two Rivers, WI. His siblings:
Joyce Busbee of Joliet, IL, Don Helsel of Winder, GA, Janice Brock (Ed) of Loganville, GA;
many nieces and nephews.
There will be no memorial service.
