Dr. Garey Banks Perkins

Dr. Garey Banks Perkins, 86, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, at his home, with his family at his side. He was born January 24th, 1939, in Vernon, Alabama, to the late Sylvester and Jewell (South) Perkins. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Billy Joe Perkins and sister Ovella Andrews.

Garey is survived by his wife, Lowell B. Perkins, children, Tom Perkins (Susan Perkins-spouse) of Starkville, Mississippi, Lisa Gordon (Rutledge Gordon-spouse) of Prosper, Texas and Jennifer Cox (Jeff Cox-spouse) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, grandchildren, Reed Perkins (Taylor Perkins-spouse) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Ryan Perkins of Jasper, Alabama, Austin Gordon of Prosper, Texas, Bailey Cox of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Mason Gordon of Prosper, Texas and Lauren Cox of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

Garey was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant. He was a member of Village Church of Christ Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, the Rotary Club in Starkville, Mississippi and Alpha Gamma Rho-Agricultural Fraternity, FFA- in Vernon, Alabama.

Garey was a very active member of the Church of Christ. He served as an Elder at Village Church of Christ and other congregations throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you may consider making a donation to the Village Church of Christ in Hot Springs Village.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 11th 2025, 10am at CedarVale Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of life will be Saturday, April 12th 2025, at 10am at Village Church of Christ. Burial will be Monday, April 14th, 2025, 2pm at CedarVale Cemetery. Arrangements were made and directed under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home inside the Hot Springs Village.
