Gerald B. Barber

Gerald “Husky” Bristol Barber passed away October 18, 2019, far too soon at the age of 40( September 29, 1979) He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran, retired over the road truck driver, carnival worker, and avid dog lover. He passed away doing what he loved with his carnival family. Gerald was loved by everyone he met, even in just passing. He loved his family and friends dearly, and would do anything he could to make their lives easier. If he wasn't at National Park College learning to be a marine mechanic, you would find him fishing out on Desoto Lake. He was predeceased by his father, Timothy Lee Barber, grandparents, Hubert and Mary Fletcher Bristol of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, grandparents Lowell and Bonnie McCombs Barber and cousin Christopher Barber of Indiana and his beloved dog Roxie. He is survived by his mother Susan Bristol Barber of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, sister Linda Barber (James Vandergrift) of Ohio, brother James Barber (Venessa Arnold) of Illinois, son Korey Garcia of Michigan, Aunts Barbara Bristol and Teresa Trusner, Uncles George Bristol (Rita Dutton), Douglas Barber, and Russell Barber (Penny Davis), and the Syler family. He is further survived by nieces Breanna and Jolene, great niece Brooklyn, nephews Jason, Timothy, Bryan, and Jace Masters and many beloved cousins. A memorial will be held for Gerald in December. Please donate to the Wounded Warriors or Village Animal Welfare League in lieu of flowers.
