Horace McGraw, Jr. (June 19, 1935 – April 4, 2020)
Horace was a wonderful husband for 66 years to Gladys, whom he began dating at age 15. He described
himself as a “jack of all trades, master of none”. His eldest daughter, Lynne McGraw Gadson often told
him, “You are a master of any and everything you put your mind to do”. Whenever he finished a task, Gladys would comment “He knows some things”. This is echoed by his only son Horace McGraw, III and wife Bridgett; and youngest daughter, Elaine McGraw Brannon and husband, Troy. Horace was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Anthony, Eugene (wife Ahlece), and Christopher Gadson; Wendy, Spencer, and James McGraw; Jennifer and Allyson Brannon. His legacy continues with great-grandchildren: Michayla Clark Hampton (Lorenzo); Caleb Warren; Malachi and Micah Williams; Mikyia, Janyse, Anysa, and Nailah Gadson; Lydia Beachum-Gadson; one great-great-grandson Riann Hampton and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation in his name to his favorite charity, Revivals Health & Wellness Council in support of breast cancer survivors (revivalshealth.org or PO Box 1495 Fernley, NV 89408).
