A proud graduate of Drake University in 1953, Jane devoted her career to nurturing young minds as an English and chorus teacher, choir director, and organist. Her dedication to her craft was evident in the many private lessons she offered, touching the lives of dozens of students, including her own sons. Jane was passionate about imparting her love for music—particularly Broadway musicals—to everyone around her, often performing alongside her husband, Rudy, in church variety shows.

Jane was a Hot Springs Village, resident for 34 years. She was an esteemed member of the PEO Women's Society for 70 years, a true testament to her commitment to community and fellowship.
Jane's love of music extended to her family, where she cherished spending countless hours supporting her sons and grandchildren during their performances. She continued to play the piano until shortly before her passing, a reflection of her unwavering passion for music and her family.
