Jane E. Bieber, a beloved figure in the realm of music and education, passed away on October 16, 2024, at Lake Forest Senior Living in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Born on August 26, 1931, in Jasper County, Iowa, Jane's life was a beautiful symphony of love, teaching, and devotion to music.

A proud graduate of Drake University in 1953, Jane devoted her career to nurturing young minds as an English and chorus teacher, choir director, and organist. Her dedication to her craft was evident in the many private lessons she offered, touching the lives of dozens of students, including her own sons. Jane was passionate about imparting her love for music—particularly Broadway musicals—to everyone around her, often performing alongside her husband, Rudy, in church variety shows.

Throughout her life, Jane remained actively involved in various church communities, serving as choir director and organist at Westchester Community Church in Westchester, IL, Highland Presbyterian Church in LaGrange Highlands, IL, and Village Methodist Church and Good Samaritan Society in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Jane was a Hot Springs Village, resident for 34 years. She was an esteemed member of the PEO Women's Society for 70 years, a true testament to her commitment to community and fellowship.

Jane's love of music extended to her family, where she cherished spending countless hours supporting her sons and grandchildren during their performances. She continued to play the piano until shortly before her passing, a reflection of her unwavering passion for music and her family.

Jane is survived by her sons, Thomas (Barbara) Bieber of Westmont, Illinois, and John (Joan) Bieber of Scottsdale, Arizona. She was a proud grandmother to Thomas (fiancé Brittany Jamison) of Peoria, Arizona, Margaret Bieber of Golden Valley, Minnesota, Elisabeth Bieber of Westmont, Illinois, and Daniel Bieber of Westmont, Illinois. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, John J. (June) LeGrand of Monroe, Iowa.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Erle LeGrand and Dorothy (Vaught) LeGrand, and her beloved husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Bieber.

As we remember Jane, we honor her legacy as an educator, musician, and loving family member whose contributions enriched countless lives and whose spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
