Jo Niven Burke

Jo Niven Burke, 89, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 9th, 2024 in Hot Springs. She was born July 1st, 1935, in Booneville, Arkansas to the late James and Janette (Patton) Niven. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her daughter, Vicki Moe.

Jo is survived by her husband, Sib Harley Burke, daughter, Leslie (Truman) Wold of Hawaii, her son, Jeff Burke of Illinois, son-in-law, Greig Moe of Arkansas, her brothers, Charles Niven of Tyler, Texas, Jim Niven of Richardson, Texas and Dick Niven of Dardanelle, Arkansas, her grandchildren, Jessica McCain of Cabot, Arkansas, Caleb Moe of Indiana, Severin Wold of Oregon and Tierney Wold of Hawaii, greatgrandchild, Mabry McCain and 3 great grandchildren of Indiana. 

Jo was a member of the Barcelona Road Baptist Church, including the church choir and hand bell ensemble.

Jo will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Arrangements were made under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home inside the Hot Springs Village.

A service to honor and celebrate the life of Jo Niven Burke will be held 2 pm on September 8th, at Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, located at 390 Barcelona Rd.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity or to P.E.O. International (https://www.peointernational.org/), a philanthropic educational organization of which Jo was a member for over 60 years.
