John Hayne Stewart, Jr

John Hayne Stewart, Jr, 88 of the Hot Springs Village, passed away November 7, 2019. John was born February 14, 1931 in Dallas, TX to Erna Abernathy Stewart and John Hayne Stewart, Sr. They moved to Texarkana, Texas for his school years.
John served four years in the Air Force enlisting in 1950 for four years. John was an Airman First Class receiving the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He then attended college graduating at East Texas State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Business Administration. John started work with Southwestern Bell Telephone and retired after 38 years plus as a Division Manager. After retirement, John and his wife, Jeane, moved to the Hot Springs Village where he enjoyed his paid of dachshunds, playing golf, and being with friends.
John is survived by his wife Myra Jeane Stewart; two sons, James David Stewart and Robert Allen Stewart; one step daughter, Deborah Ann Bluhm; several grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
A Memorial Service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00AM. A reception will follow the service at the Diamante Golf Club. Funeral Arrangements has been entrusted with CedarVale Funeral Home.
