John Cephas Spear

John Cephas Spear, 83, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born on May 5, 1941, Langdale Hospital in Lanette, Alabama to John Cephas Spear and Mary Roquemore Spear. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother, Michael Spear, sister Mary Ann Spear Walker and a son, Jerry Spear. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maralou, his sons, John (Kathy) Spear and Jason (Kristy) Spear, stepchildren Joe Kelly, Erin Kelly Dunavant, Kathy Kelly Keeley, Marion Kelly Feather and Jon Kelly. He will be remembered also by 4 grandchildren: Shannon Spear, Joshua Spear, Rebecca Spear and Kaitlyn Spear and 1 great-grandchild: Jaxon Spear. He also had 7 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. 

He enjoyed many years as a Stone County Master Gardener. He was a member of Woodlands Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. 

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00AM at Woodlands Presbyterian Church, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
