Lois Schoenrock

Lois Schoenrock, a resident of Hot Springs Village, AR since 1989 passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024, at her home. She was 92 years old.

Lois was born at home in Yellow Medicine County near Cottonwood, MN where she grew up.

She was baptized and confirmed in Silo Lutheran church in Cottonwood, MN.

Lois was a registered nurse graduating from Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN and received her BA from Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN. She retired from her nursing administration position with Healtheast Hospital, St. Paul, MN in 1988.

Lois married Roy Schoenrock on June 4, 1955 and they lived in Minneapolis, MN and later Prior Lake, MN until they retired to the Village in 1989. They had 2 sons David and Charles, both from Prior Lake, MN and 2 daughters Christine Boswell of League City, TX and Laura Hoisington of Cumberland, WI. She also leaves 9 grandchildren Jodell, Nichole, Anthony, Aaron, Lindsay, Bradley, Cassandra, Tia and Corinne and 14 great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Otis and Emma Olson, her sisters Shirley Kennedy and Helen Hildebrandt. Surviving are her 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Lois was a member of The Village Card Club and was a Life Master, The Cedar Mountain Singers and The Golf Social League.

Visitation will be May 23rd, 2024, 10:00am with the memorial service at 11:00am held at Faith Lutheran Church 1196 DeSoto Blvd. There will be a luncheon immediately following. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial.
