Marilyn Nia Brehm

Marilyn Brehm of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away on November 21, 2020, in her home. She was born on August 14, 1950, in Pasco, Washington, to her parents Henry and Ruth Stokes.
Survivors include her husband Ken; her brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Jeanie Stokes of Ellensburg, Washington; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Jim Barleen of Apache Junction Arizona; and her step daughters, Katherine Ellis of Sealy, Texas and Jennifer Smith of Kansas City, Missouri.
Marilyn graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and later received her Masters of Christian Counseling from Oral Roberts University. She worked as an administrative assistant in several churches in Johnson County, Kansas, before retiring and moving to Hot Springs Village.
Marilyn loved everything about the Village, especially the hiking trails. She enjoyed feeding the birds in her back yard and then watching other critters, from chip monks to deer; come in and steal the sseed. She also enjoyed meeting people as a volunteer at the Village library.
