In Memory of Martha Ann Summers, a Beloved Wife and Mother
Martha Ann Summers (65) passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 of complications to vascular dementia.
Martha was born on Jan. 19, 1959 in Hannibal, Missouri to parents Glynn and Doris Babb. The small town life was not for her as she aspired to spread her wings and fly. She graduated with a degree from Culver-Stockton College.
Martha welcomed a love into her life that she would hold onto for the rest of her days with husband Terry Summers. The two were wedded on March 2, 1992 and remained together for 32 years. Both worked diligently to build a successful life together. The meaning of through sickness and health was tested as she suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2022. Terry gladly honored his vows by looking after Martha for her final years.
Martha was known for many characteristics like her infectious laugh, bright personality and incredible determination to name a few. Above all, she was mostly a proud mother. She is survived by her three sons: Cody, Mitchel and Ryan. She never allowed a moment to pass where she could support her children. She was the definition of a Super Mom. Not a theatrical/band performance was missed nor a shoulder absent to cry on. All three sons are better men because of the unquestioned and unending love she provided.
Her memory will live on in the many people touched by her overwhelming love.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Cedar Vale Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be held shortly after at 2:00 pm.
