Patricia Ruth Cooke Demsky, 82, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away into the arms of Morpheus on October 4, 2021.
She was born on March 17, 1939 in Hoboken, NJ, to Stephen and Ruth (McGrath) Cooke.
The family moved to Rumson, NJ where Pat spent her youth. She graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and attended Red Bank Business Institute where she interned at the town’s newspaper, The Red Bank Register. She had been employed at Bendix Aviation Company, Eatontown, NJ, US Army Research & Development Laboratory, Fort Monmouth, NJ, Bell Telephone Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ, Lockheed Electronics Antenna Lab, Plainfield, NJ and retired from Texas Instruments, Dallas, TX as an Executive Assistant in 1996 after 18 years.
Married John J. Demsky on January 2, 1960 in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Rumson, NJ. She and her family have lived in Jackson, NJ; Wells, VT where she was a Girl Scout Leader; Plano, TX, and Hot Springs Village, AR, where she and Jack retired in 1997.
Pat was preceded in her death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 61 years and four loving children; Jacquie and her husband, John Wilson; Michael and his wife, Tracey; Debbie and her husband, Mark Probus; and Tim and his wife, Megan. She had seven wonderful grandchildren; Stephen Demsky, Joseph, Emily, and Sammie Probus, Christina and Thomas Wilson, and Connor Demsky; and two great-granddaughters, Ridley and Ellorie Demsky.
She is also survived by two sisters, Joan France (Jim) of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Regina Clayton (Bill) of Red Bank, NJ, and a sister-in law, Betty Williams of Orlando, FL, and many cousins.
The family enjoyed camping and traveled to many states across the country. She was an avid reader, and took pleasure crocheting creatively for her family, and always looked forward to their many visits to the Village.
The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice and especially Shane, Teri, Dee, and Elizabeth for their incredible help and support. A Requiem Mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, in Hot Springs Village on Monday, October 11, at 11am. Arrangements made by Cedarvale Funeral Home where cremation will follow.
