Richard James Kolesar of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away July 17th, 2020. Richard was born June 1st, 1928 to Daniel and Eleanor Fabricius Kolesar in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

He was a graduate of Muhlenburg University and was a Korean War Veteran. Richard had a 30 year career with DuPont Company and had assignments with DuPont in Delaware, Texas, Michigan, New Jersey, Germany, Virginia, Mexico and Tennessee before retiring in Hot Springs Village in 1986.

He married Mary Miller on April 22, 1950, and they enjoyed a 52 year amazing relationship prior to Mary’s passing in 2002. He later enjoyed a 12 year marriage to Wilma Pearson until 2016 when Wilma lost a long battle with Alzheimers Disease.

Richard loved golfing and fishing, enjoyed feeding the birds and entertaining friends at his Lake Pineda home. But his greatest joy came from visits with family, especially summer vacations and trips with his grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by brother Paul Kolesar and sister Ruth Ruch. He is survived by sons Bruce Kolesar and wife Gerri of Webster Springs, WV; Michael Kolesar and wife Johnie of Hot Springs Village; 3 grandchildren Lisa Cooper and husband Kevin of Bevil Oaks, TX; Christopher Kolesar of Huffman, TX; and Kimberly Kolesar of Fort Worth, TX; and great-grandchildren Robert and Henry Kolesar of Huffman, TX.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Christ Lutheran Church memorial fund or the American Alzheimers Association.

A memorial service was held Saturday, July 25, 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church in Hot Springs Village. Online condolences can be made at www.cedarvalefuneralhome.com.
