Robert “Bob” Stanley Logan passed away peacefully at his home in Hot Springs Village, AR on
October 21, 2022 at the age of 83.Bob is predeceased by his mother, Lucille Evelyn Logan; his father, Adelbert Thayer Logan; an older brother who died as an infant; and his beloved son, Bryan Delbert Logan.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. Logan of 61 years. They were married in
Bethesda, MD on September 18, 1961 and spent their lives happily raising a family and
traveling the country together in retirement.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Adrienne W. Squires of Arlington, TN; granddaughters Kristina M. Barker of Bartlett, TN, Jennifer Condra of Summerville, SC, Sarah E. May of Mountain View, CA, and Kimberly W. Barker of Joplin, MO; and great-grandchildren Naomi, Melina, Aiden and Vincent.
Bob was born in Oakland, CA on April 1, 1942, his mother, Lucille, had polio and was told she would never bear children but she had 2 sons; her firstborn died as an infant.
Bob graduated from Mesa Verde High School in 1957 and worked for a veterinarian as a teen, enlisted in the
Navy after graduation, worked on Missile carriers as an electronics officer and went on to earn
a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from University of North Carolina in 1970 and then an MBA at
University of New Mexico in 1981.
Bob retired from the U.S. Navy LT MSC in 1977 where he had worked in Nuclear Medicine at Bethesda Medical Center in Bethesda MD. After retiring he and his family moved to Albuquerque, NM where he practiced Real Estate for many years and
had a real estate appraisal business. Bob and Linda enjoyed many years in the Southwest before moving to Hot Springs, AR in 2006. He enjoyed many hobbies such as photography, bird watching, astronomy, hiking, botanic gardens, as well as volunteering at many different places. To name a few of his volunteer experiences were project literacy, pharmacy assistant on Kirtland AFB, Animal shelters including spay and neuter clinics, Habitat for Humanity, Food Pantries, AARP tax preparation,
and others. Bob enjoyed nature and animals, he had a loving and giving spirit which is
passed on to all of his family.
Bob will be given a full military funeral service with honors onboard a Naval vessel out of
Norfolk, VA at a future date not yet determined attended only by active duty personnel.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at St. Anthony’s Chapel in Garvan Gardens 550
Arkridge Road, Hot Springs, AR on December 1, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:30 with Father George
Sanders from St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hot Springs officiating.
All friends and family are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Family Fellowship Church food
pantry P.O. Box 8473, Hot Springs, AR 71910. This organization was near and dear to Bob’s
heart.
