Ruth Pinkley

Ruth Pinkley (née Haddix) passed away on November 11th, 2023 after a brief illness.

Ruth was born on September 9th, 1945 in Breathitt County, Kentucky to Carl and Julia Haddix. Ruth was raised in Haddix, Kentucky and later Wausaukee, Wisconsin.

As a young adult, Ruth settled in Milwaukee and met her husband, John. Ruth was a homemaker, raising three daughters in Shorewood, Wisconsin. After their young years, Ruth took a position with The Hoover Company. When she and John moved in 1997 to Las Vegas, Nevada, Ruth started working at The Home Depot and worked there until she retired.

Ruth was a deeply religious woman whose relationship with God was paramount. Ruth loved fashion, decorating for Christmas, and a good clearance sale (a love she passed down to her daughters). Ruth spent the last years of her life with her daughter, Jenny, and son-in-law, Chris, in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. There she found comfort and friendship in Living Waters Lutheran Church.

Ruth is preceded in death by her brother, Elmer Haddix, and her husband of 52 years, John Pinkley.

Ruth is survived by her daughters Jennifer Rabion (Chris), Julie Pinkley, and Jodi Wickman (Jason); her grandchildren Edmond and Cosette Wickman; and her nieces Michi Hebeker and Stephanie Guyant (Ted).
