Sarah L. McMurray of Hot Springs Village was visited by an angel July 10, 2022 who escorted her to her new heavenly home.
Born May 12, 1941 to Linniea Bell Foster and Jasper Owen Kemp, Sarah was raised in Magnet Cove and Malvern. She was blessed to be one of twelve siblings and doubly blessed they were all the best of friends.
Happily married to Bill McMurray, Sarah said the years with Bill were the happiest of her life. Bill and Sarah loved to travel and entertain family and friends. They were especially known for their famous Texas-style barbecue cook outs.
Sarah, with a true warrior spirit, loved fiercely her family and friends. She will be remembered for her loyalty, honesty, humor, and quick wit. The world will never know another woman as incredible as Sarah McMurray.
Sarah was the beloved mother to Robert Clouse (deceased), Barbara Clouse Harp (deceased), Brenda (Reggie)Clouse Garriga, Allen (Kelly) Clouse, and Becky Clouse Arnold (deceased).
Sarah will be forever missed by her surviving children, Brenda and Allen; siblings; grandchildren; great- grandchildren; a wealth of extended family members including many much loved nieces and nephews; and more friends than any one person should be allowed to have. Sarah was truly loved.
A Celebration of Sarah’s life will be held 10AM, July 14, 2022 at West Shores, 2607 Albert Pike Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913. Masks are required.
Sarah will be laid to rest alongside her children at Lone Hill Cemetery in Oak Grove.
The family would like to acknowledge Arkansas Hospice of Hot Springs and West Shores Senior Living Community for the patience and compassionate care given to Sarah, as well as her sister, Ann Graves, who cared for Sarah during her final days.
