Susan Behling

Susan Behling of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away March 16 th , 2023 at the age of 82.

Sue was the fourth of nine children born to Felix and Evelyn Reuteler. Raised in West Allis, WI, she was a

cheerleader for Nathan Hale High School. In 1962, she met John M. Behling from Shorewood, WI, at the

wedding of mutual friends. John followed her home and asked her out on a date. They were married

two years later and had three children, Mary (Harvey) Feinstein of Kernville, CA, John Behling Jr.

(deceased) and Michael (Melanie) Behling of Chicago, IL.

Sue enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and flourish. Amy Feinstein of Kauai, HI, was the first

followed by McKenzie, Hannah and Louisa "Lulu" Behling of Chicago, IL. After her children were grown

and out on their own, Sue became a travel agent and she and John took many trips all over the world.

Sue and John retired to Hot Springs Village, AR, from McHenry, IL, in 2002. There she made new friends

and participated in many activities including a gourmet cooking club, bridge, Mahjong and the Ladies of

the Sacred Heart Saint Monica’s Guild. Sue tried to take up golf but decided to follow her passion and

learned to paint instead. She became quite talented in different art forms and her paintings adorn the

walls throughout their home.

Sue passed away after battling a long illness and is at peace in heaven with her son Johnny, parents and

3 predeceased siblings.

Mass and Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village on Monday

March 27 th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research

Hospital.
