Tom Brunette, 81 of Hot Springs Village, passed away at CHI St Vincent’s on Thursday, December 31, 2020 due to complications of COVID19. Tom was born on June 20, 1939 in Green Bay, WI to John and Millicent Brunette. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Degree in Business.
He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a retail and wholesale marketing director and retired in 1994.Upon his retirement, he moved back to Green Bay, WI and owned and operated Champion’s Bar and Grille on Lombardi Blvd until 2001. He was the “ULTIMATE” Packer fan and attended three Super Bowls; two wins and one loss! He was looking forward to another Super Bowl win this year.
He moved to Hot Springs Village in 2005 and enjoyed his retirement playing golf, cruising and traveling. In 2010, Tom and Susan operated Tanner’s at Granada until 2015 and then in 2016 reopened Tanner’s Neighborhood Bar and Grille at its current location at East Gate Shopping Center.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Susan, daughter Sandy Kilpatrick (Mike), grandson’s Aaron and Nathan of Oxnard, CA, son Brian Brunette (Amanda), grandchildren Adam and Leah of Corona, CA, daughter Sheri Joseph (Romesh), grandson Jacob of Cypress, CA, and stepson Michael Wygant (Christina) grandchildren Amanda and Tyler of Oceanside, CA. He is also survived by his “TWO BEST FRIENDS”, Pomeranian’s SLUGGER and BRINKLEY.
Due to Covid19, there will be no funeral service. There will be a Private Family Internment at a later date at CedarVale Cemetery.
