Tony Lee Dodd, a veteran of World War II and long time resident of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, at the age of 98.
Tony was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma on November 7th, 1924, to father Cleo Wesley Dodd and mother Pearl Lee. Tony served in the 99th Infantry Division of the Army as a soldier in the “Battle of the Bulge.” During the war, Tony was captured and was a prisoner of war for 134 days. When Tony was liberated by American troops on April 28th, 1945, he returned home and attended the University of Oklahoma. Tony was a loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren and will be remembered for his playful ways, golfing, square dancing, and singing.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; his step-son, Jimmy Cotner; and his parents. He is survived by his two brothers, Raymond and Paul; his six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
